Titanic Story

We are all familiar with the story of the Unsinkable Titanic. The long awaited Maiden Voyage of that ship in 1912 proved to be its last. After all the hype and celebration nobility and peasant  boarded the ship headed for disaster.

The History books do not tell all the truth behind the story of the Titanic. They focus more on the historical nature of the disaster and give little information to the real reason to why the ship sunk.

There are many explanations to how the Titanic sunk, some contradictory to each other. Looking at each of the accounts, one reason stands out; Pride. Pride was the reason that the Titanic sunk.

There was a series of ice warnings that night that the engineers failed to report, the Captain did not call for help until hours after impact, and the ship itself was not at all equipped enough to handle this emergency. In each instance Pride brought down this unsinkable masterpiece.

How Marriage can be Like the Titanic

In Marriage, couples can be likened to the Titanic. They might start off great with high hopes of taking on the world. They spend lots of time and money in the wedding and celebration. Then the couple is off to face the world. If they give in to pride and avoid conflict they are destined to hit the Icebergs of Marital Issues and sink to floor of divorce. If they learn how to learn and grow together they avoid the Marital Icebergs and come out a success.
